🏛 語源・歴史
古英語 plot（小さな区画の土地）が語源。元は「区切られた土地」を表す素朴な語だった。そこから「土地に印をつける・配置する」という発想が広がり、「（物語を）組み立てる骨組み＝筋」、さらに「ひそかに計画を組み立てる＝陰謀」へと意味が枝分かれしていった。
